Where LAU students actually live
LAU's Beirut campus sits close enough to AUB's neighborhood that students from both universities often end up in the same general area — Hamra and Ras Beirut are the default choice, offering an easy commute and a genuinely student-heavy atmosphere with cafés, bookshops, and other LAU/AUB students as neighbors.
Clemenceau, just south, is a quieter alternative if you want a short walk to campus without Hamra's busier main streets.
What rent looks like
Shared rooms are the most budget-friendly option and common among LAU students splitting rent with classmates. Full studios or one-bedrooms give you privacy at a higher monthly cost. As with most of Ras Beirut, prices rise the closer you get to campus gates and main roads.
